One of my favorite things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is the privilege of being able to pre-order new products. Yup…Demonstrators are usually given the opportunity to purchase new products before they are available for sale to customers. The 2014 Holiday catalog is full of amazing new products for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s. One of my favorite products in the catalog is (of course) the newest Project Life by Stampin’ Up! card & accessory pack called “Seasonal Snapshot”.
I’ve been meaning to start my 2013 Project Life family album, so I pulled out our un-scrapped Christmas photos from last year and started playing. I’m thrilled with this layout.
As usual with Project Life, this layout came together quite quickly. I find that
I’m almost always able to put together a Project Life page in half the time or less that I used to spend on traditional 12×12 layouts. Of course if I’m in the mood, Project Life has 12×12 photo sleeves so I can still make a traditional layout if I’m in the mood to do so. But since I’m still pretty far behind on my scrapbooking, I find myself doing mostly Project Life pages to get as many photos and stories recorded as possible in the time that I have.
The left side is in a design 1 pocket page. The words “Merry Christmas” on the red card is actually a really cool clear plastic overlay. Clear overlays are really popular right now, and I totally get why..they are so much fun to play with! When I first saw these alphabet letters in the accessory pack, I wasn’t quite sure if I liked the font, but seeing it on the page, I’m totally in love with the whimsical feel it gives my page. And of course it coordinates with the lettering on the card on the right side page.
The bottom middle card was actually a journaling card but I really wanted to use as many photos as I could on this page, so I trimmed my photo and placed it over the journaling lines. The pop of the red & green stripes are enough to jazz up the photo, but still allow the photographs to be the focus of the layout, which is what I go for when I document especially sentimental events like holidays. I think that little red candy cane circle flair is so cute and adds dimension to my page.
The Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Card Collection is exclusive to Stampin’ Up!. It includes 100 double sided cards in three sizes- 4×6, 4×4 and 3×4. It sells for $15.95 and will be available to purchase starting August 28th. The Seasonal Snapshot Accessory Pack is $9.95 and contains 3 printed acetate specialty cards, 7 card stock sticker sheets, 60 sequins, 4 epoxy badges (“flair”), epoxy stickers and 5 yards of washi tape.
There’s also a new Project Life photopolymer stamp set called Holiday Cheer, with icons and sentiments that coordinate with the card collection!
I can’t wait to show you the rest of the Seasonal Snapshot Prjoect Life cards and accessory pack, but until then, how about a peek at some other goodies made with new products from the Holiday catalog?
